Yes, goals are important but they are not the only thing in the world that we should be focusing on. There are so many things to see and be grateful for in a day. However, if our goals are the only things we see, how can we see anything else ?
In between the process to them and the goal there is an enormous gap that must be filled. So, think about it this way, if we were to only ever focus on that goal by the time we reach i,t that is the only thing we know. OMG how boring !
The biggest problem is we get scared if we want to be a doctor we think well if I have fun or do other stuff I will lose focus. Emm, yeh you will & guess what it’s a good thing because you have to stop focusing on it to enjoy something else.
I’m not saying, lose focus & forget about it. I’m say shift your focus & enjoy the other things around you also.
I have watched people spend their entire life just focus on the once thing whether it be the qualification, the status, the money, etc only to realise they’re still not happy when they get it.
Or, I’m sure we all have these, the annoying relatives, friends or whoever that come to your house, over step every boundary by asking repulsive question like ohh are you still working there or how much do you make. I’ve always wanted to say get the out, but, that would be rude of me wouldn’t it !!!! aggggg 🙂 These are usually the kind of people who make us want to focus on the goal even more just so we can feel accepted when really we don’t care what think in the long run, crazy.
If I could tell my younger self anything, it would be, you are going to get lost all the time its grand, just find another way out. Eventually, you will stop getting lost & start understanding who you’re not.
Finally note, lose sight of the goal at least once a week & enjoy doing something you love. Otherwise, you’ll be very unhappy. Have fun that it & it really is true losing yourself is the best way to find yourself. Be careful now you may change your goal 🙂
♥♥ Have a lovely day ♥♥
